Our Story

The Ancient Name
of Chirala

"The sea here shines so white, it looks like milk — that is why the ancients named it Ksheerapuri."

Long before it was known as Chirala, this peaceful coastal town on the Bay of Bengal carried the beautiful Sanskrit name Ksheerapuri — meaning "the city of milk," inspired by the white foamy waves that wash its shores.

Today, Ksheerapuri is Andhra Pradesh's best-kept secret — pristine beaches, 8th-century temples, world-famous handloom and a food culture that will spoil you for every other coastal town.
